Mubasher Lucman (an haife shi ranar 11 ga watan Janairu, 1963). Babban daraktan fina-finan Pakistan ne, ya zama dan jarida kuma tsohon ministan lardi na riko a ma'aikatar rikon kwaryar Punjab a shekara ta 2007 - 08. A yanzu haka yana ɗaukar baƙuncin wani taron tattaunawa Khara Sach.

ISLAMABAD: The Supreme Court finally made up its mind on Monday to prosecute Salman Iqbal, chief executive of a private television network and anchorperson Mubashir Lucman and decided to indict them for airing scandalous and defamatory programmes against the judiciary.

“After going through the transcript of a talk show on ARY ‘Khara Such’ aired on May 29, 2014 and the reply submitted by the respondents we prima facie are of the view that a case for initiating contempt proceedings under Article 204 of the Constitution read with the Contempt of Court Ordinance 5 of 2003 is made out,” observed Justice Ejaz Afzal who is heading a three-judge Supreme Court bench.

The court also decided to frame charge against the respondents on Oct 30.

The court was hearing the case relating to the Khara Such hosted by anchorperson Mubashir Lucman on May 29, in which a number of defamatory allegations were levelled against Justice Jawwad. S Khawaja -- his close relationship with Mir Shakeelur Rehman, the owner of Geo TV network and the sale of a property in Lahore to the Punjab government by the wife of the judge.

The allegations were raised after Justice Jawwad Khawaja’s hearing of a petition moved by Geo TV network for immediate intervention to halt what they called ‘hate campaign’ against the channel.

Both the respondents have to appear before the court in person to hear the charges, though under Section 19 of the contempt law they can move an intra court appeal before a larger bench of the court against the decision of framing a charge.

Under Section 2 of the same law a contemnor can tender apology at any stage and the court if satisfied may discharge the proceedings. But if convicted, the maximum punishment the respondents could get for committing contempt of the court will be six-month imprisonment.

Mubasher Lucman is a Pakistanianchorperson and columnist. He was made caretaker Minister of Punjab for information technology, communications and works in 2007–08. He launched ARY digital as its first CEO He is one of the key members of WorldCall Pakistan's first fiber-optic network. He also worked in the corporate field, in key positions at WorldCall Group, ARY Digital, NTM (first private television network of Pakistan), and PAKTEL.

Early life and education

Born to movie director-producer of the 1950s and 1960s Luqman (1922-1994), Mubasher Lucman graduated from Aitchison College Lahore and Government College Lahore.

Show business career

In Lucman's youth, he gained popularity and recognition for his theatre plays. He directed a number of productions. His first job was at the Lahore Hilton (present-day Avari) when he had just started in Government College Lahore. He joined as a lifeguard, which included cleaning pool toilet areas and collecting linen.

Later, Lucman joined an advertising agency as a copy writer. He had worked in the advertising industry of Pakistan for several years and proved his skills through his script for the advertisement of top local and multinational brands of Pakistan including Coca-Cola and Nestle. After this, Lucman set up a production company of his own which developed software and content for television channels of Pakistan.

Lucman produced, co-wrote and directed the film Pehla Pehla Pyaar in 2006, starring Resham and Ali Tabish.

Anchor career

Lucman started anchoring from the channel Business Plus as a host. He joined Express News as a host with the programme Point Blank and later moved to Dunya News and hosted the programme Khari Baat Lucman Ke Sath. He then joined ARY News, hosting Khara Sach.
