Erica Dixonis a main cast member on the first four seasons of Love & Hip Hop: Atlantaand one of the show's original six cast members.

Dixon was a major protagonist during the first four seasons of the series. It chronicles her trying to deal with co-parenting with her daughter's father Lil Scrappy. The two try to rekindle their relationship, but in ends in disaster. For the first three seasons, Erica had a long-standing feud with Momma Dee, and was accused by her for "leaving her son for dead". The two eventually make amends, and develop a good relationship in later seasons.

She appears as a supporting cast member in seasons seven and eight.

Before Love & Hip Hop[]

Erica Dixon is the mother of Lil Scrappy's daughter, Emani. While she was born in Atlanta, she and her six brothers and three sisters were raised by her aunt and uncle in Hempstead, New York, after her mother lost custody because of her crack cocaine addiction. In early seasons, she was working full-time as a medical biller and a coder for a pharmacy, before venturing into fashion and releasing her own clothing line, Klass6.

Love & Hip Hop franchise (2012–present)[]

Erica Dixon is introduced on Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta as having been in an on-again, off-again relationship with Scrappy for the past twelve years. She is struggling to make amends with her mother, Mingnon, a recovering crack cocaine addict, who has recently come back in her life. At the first season's reunion special, Scrappy proposes to Erica onstage and she accepts.     Erica Scharmane Banks (born October 5, 1998) is an American rapper born and raised in DeSoto, Texas. Following the release of her first three mixtapes, she signed to 1501 Certified Entertainment, who released her self-titled mixtape in June 2020. It spawned her first charting single, "Buss It", which went viral on TikTok. In January 2021, she signed to Warner Records, on which "Buss It" was reissued.

    Banks was born and raised in DeSoto, Texas. At the age of 12, she began writing poetry, winning several school contests, and started rapping in high school. While attending Texas A&M University–Commerce as a nursing student, she recorded her first songs, leading to her to decide to drop out during her sophomore year to pursue her music career.

    Career

    In 2018, Banks released her first single, titled "Talk My Shit" independently through SoundCloud. On March 17, 2019, Banks subsequently self-released her first official mixtape, titled Art of the Hustle. In April 2019, she signed with 1501 Certified Entertainment after playing a snippet of her song "Buss It" for the label's CEO, American former baseball player Carl Crawford, in an Instagram Live video. Despite after signing with 1501 Certified, two of her mixtapes – Pressure and Cocky on Purpose – were subsequently self-released between June and November of that year.

    On June 19, 2020, Banks released her self-titled fourth mixtape through 1501 Certified. The mixtape spawned the singles, including a full version of the song "Buss It", and "Give Me That", the former of which became Banks's breakout song in January 2021 after becoming the subject of a viral trend on the video-sharing platform TikTok, giving her her first entry on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. In that same month, she signed a record deal with Warner Records.[5]

Even with the support of Momma Dee, Lil Scrappy chose Bambi over her, that ignited a violent feud with the women. Scrappy and Erika have an altercation later in the season, and the relationship erodes after that.

Her potential romantic interest in Scrappy ignites a feud with his girlfriend, Bambi, including a incident where she was stabbed with a razor blade by Bambi’s alleged sister. Later, her and Scrappy get into a violent altercation.

    Erica did not return to the show after the season's reunion special.

    Erica Jasmin Mena (born November 8, 1987) is an American actress, model, singer and video vixen. She is best known for her appearances in the Love & Hip Hop franchise from 2011 to 2023, particularly in the New York and Atlanta installments.

    Career

    Mena first gained notoriety as a model and "video vixen", through her appearances in various hip hop music videos, for artists such as Chris Brown, Fabolous, Akon and Fat Joe. She became known to a larger audience through her reality television appearances, including Kourtney & Khloe Take Miami and Love & Hip Hop: New York, the original installment of the Love & Hip Hop franchise.

    She has released two autobiographies, Chronicles of a Confirmed Bachelorette and Underneath It All. In August 2017, it was announced that Mena would compete in the first season of VH1's Scared Famous, which premiered in October 2017. In 2018, Erica joined the cast of Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta for the seventh season. In 2019, she returned to Love & Hip Hop: New York for its tenth anniversary season.
