    Occupation

    Singer and guitarist

Keith Partridge is a main character of The Partridge Family. He is the oldest child of Shirley Partridge, and the older brother of Laurie, Danny, Chris and Tracy Partridge.

    Background[]

Keith's father died six months before the start of the series. At some point, he and his siblings started a garage band, with Keith as the guitarist, arranger, and primary songwriter. As of early Season 1, he has a driver's license and is allowed to drive the bus by himself. He goes to San Pueblo High School.

    On the series[]

After the Partridge Family's previous singer, Gloria Steineman, comes down with the mumps, Keith and his siblings talk Shirley into singing Gloria's part on the recordings. With Danny's help, the Partridges get Reuben Kincaid to manage them, get a record deal, and get booked at Caesar's Palace. During their first live performance, Keith and his siblings are paralyzed with stage fright until Shirley tells them to close their eyes and imagine they're still in the garage.

After their first record is a hit, Keith deals with mobs of girls chasing him around, but most of them lose interest once the novelty wears off.

During the first season, the family goes on tour to places including Hawaii, Paris, and Canada.

During this season, Keith makes his first attempts at getting a day job (as a plumber, a salesman, and a paper boy), although he's immediately fired from all three of them.

In The Selling of the Partridge, Keith is elected student body president of the high school.

After Season 3, Keith finishes high school and starts attending San Pueblo Junior College.

    Personality[]

Keith has been known to have some pig-headed moments, but when it comes down to it he cares deeply for everyone. Keith considers himself the leader of the group. Keith acts the same as most teenage boys, aside from the whole tr

It’s been a while since I wrote the previous instalment in this saga, August 6th to be precise, and even though I have no earth-shattering revelations for you, it’s clear that we are moving towards a conclusion.

But for newcomers – or even even regulars who may have forgotten how we got to where we are – here are links to the previous instalments: Weep for Wales, Weep for Wales 2, Weep for Wales 3, Weep for Wales 4, Weep for Wales 5, Weep for Wales 6, Weep for Wales 7, Weep for Wales 8.

In addition to this latest post being an update on the saga, I shall also use it to give some thought to what this incredible story tells us about the state of modern Wales. Basically, how the hell did Paul and Rowena Williams and their associates get away with so much for so long?

Because irrespective of what now happens to those you’ve been reading about over the past few months there are others who have questions to answer, and I might as well do the asking, because nobody else will.

WHY DID THEY GET A FREE RIDE?

The Daily Post‘s involvement in this saga is quite extraordinary in its willingness to publish any old nonsense. I have drawn up a list of the DP’s articles on Plas Glynllifon and the other Gwynedd properties since Paul and Rowena Williams first became involved.

Starting with this article on 10 June 2016 telling us that the mystery owner of Plas Glynllifon – speaking through property company Lambert Smith Hampton (LSH) – said that the renovation would take three years, and would cost an estimated £5m.

The next article was just a few days later on 14 June 2016, and this time we were told that the old pile was to be transformed into a luxury hotel and spa with the project managed by LSH.

Just a day later, 15 June 2016, there was another report, but it was little different to the one the previous day.

The new year brought this piece on 22 February 2017 in which the Daily Post was graciously gr

    American actor and musician (1950–2017)

For the historian, see David C. Cassidy.

David Bruce Cassidy (April 12, 1950 – November 21, 2017) was an American actor and musician. He was best known for his role as Keith Partridge, the son of Shirley Partridge (played by his real-life stepmother, actress Shirley Jones), in the 1970s musical-sitcom The Partridge Family. This role catapulted Cassidy to teen idol status as a superstar pop singer of the 1970s.

Raised primarily by his maternal grandparents in West Orange, New Jersey, Cassidy was later informed of his parents' divorce, which had happened two years prior without his knowledge. After completing high school, Cassidy pursued acting and music, moving into his father and stepmother's home in Irvington, New York. His career took off after signing with Universal Studios in 1969, leading to roles in several TV series. His major breakthrough came in 1970 as Keith Partridge on The Partridge Family, which propelled him to teen idol status. Despite the show's success, Cassidy sought to break free from his idol image, leading to a diverse solo music career with hits in the UK and Australia, and a tumultuous life marked by public and personal challenges.

Cassidy's personal life was complex, with multiple marriages, children from relationships, and struggles with alcohol. He became an advocate for Alzheimer's disease research, inspired by his family's history with the condition. Despite facing health and legal issues later in life, Cassidy continued performing until announcing his retirement in 2017, before his death later that year.

    Early life

Cassidy was born at Flower Fifth Avenue Hospital in New York City, the son of singer and actor Jack Cassidy and actress Evelyn Ward. His father was of half Irish and half German ancestry, and his mother was descended mostly from Colonial Americans, along with having some Irish and Swiss roots. His
