Christopher Chace Crawford was born in Lubbock, Texas, the son of Dana (Plott), a teacher, and Chris Wayne Crawford, a dermatologist. He grew up in Plano, Texas, and has a younger sister, Candice Crawford Romo, who studied broadcast journalism and won the Miss Missouri USA title in 2008. Chace played football and golf in high school, and is a talented artist. He graduated from Trinity Christian Academy in 2003. Although he worked as a model in Dallas, he never pursued acting. He moved to Malibu, California, to attend Pepperdine University after high school where he was a member of the Sigma Nu fraternity. He struggled to identify a career path, vacillating between advertising, business and communications majors. Midway through his second year, his mother encouraged him to pursue acting. He credits her for initiating this move. She stated that "it was a practical move," based on a career aptitude test he had taken in high school, which revealed he was best suited for a career in the performing arts. He was signed by the first talent agent that interviewed him and then committed full-time to acting studies.
In 2006, Chace appeared in Lifetime's television movie Long Lost Son (2006), where he plays the son of Gabrielle Anwar's character. That same year, he starred alongside Steven Strait, Taylor Kitsch, Sebastian Stan and Toby Hemingway in the horror/thriller movie, The Covenant (2006). The year 2007 was a big break for Chace. He became one of the leads in CW's drama, Gossip Girl (2007). Among his cast members on the show are Penn Badgley, Leighton Meester & Ed Westwick. Christopher Chace Crawford (born July 18, 1985) is an American actor. He is known for his television portrayals of Nate Archibald on the series Gossip Girl (2007–2012), and of Kevin Moskowitz / The Deep in the television series The Boys (2019–present) and the resulting franchise. He is also known for starring in the films The Covenant (2006), The Haunting of Molly Hartley (2008), Twelve (2011), and What to Expect When You're Expecting (2012). In 2015, he portrayed Billy LeFever in the short-lived series Blood & Oil.
Early life and education
Crawford was born in Lubbock, Texas. His father, Chris, is a dermatologist, and his mother, Dana, is a teacher. He has a younger sister, former Miss Missouri USA winner and Miss USA contestant Candice Crawford. Crawford was raised a Southern Baptist. While his father was a medical student, Chace lived in Bloomington, Minnesota, for four years, attending Ridgeview Elementary School. When his father completed his training, the family moved back to Texas and settled in Plano, a suburb of Dallas.
During high school, he worked in an Abercrombie & Fitch store and modeled for Hollister. He graduated from Trinity Christian Academy in Addison, Texas, in 2003. Biografia
Cresceu em Plano, no Texas. Mudou-se para Los Angeles para ir à Universidade de Pepperdine e lá,começou a atuar por hobby. Pouco tempo depois, terminou conseguindo seu primeiro papel como Tyler Simms em The Covenant, um de seus filmes mais notáveis.
Em 2007 (até 2012) o ator dividia seu tempo entre Los Angeles e a cidade de Nova Iorque, onde filmava Gossip Girl. Crawford participou da produção independente "She Lived", assim como no filme Loaded, com Jesse Metcalfe e Monica Keena.
Em 2010, o ator participou do filme Twelve.
Em 11 de junho de 2010, Crawford foi acusado de um delito por posse de maconha.Crawford insiste que é inocente do crime e estava no lugar errado na hora errada, mas ele ainda pode pegar até seis meses de prisão pelo crime.
