    Season 1

    The first season was titled as D 4 Dance. The show was first aired on 11 April 2014, and its last episode aired on 24 November 2014. It was hosted by Jewel Mary and Sreejith Vijay who was later replaced by Govind Padmasoorya and Pearly Maaney (as Jewel went away for movie shots, she rejoined towards the finale)). There were total of 18 contestants in which Ramzan Muhammed was declared as the winner of the show bagging 50 lakhs Indian Rupees. followed by Aashiq Nawal (2nd place), Swathi Sreeram (3rd place), Ajas N. (4th place), and Dilsha Prasanann (5th place).

    Season 2

    The second season of the series was titled as D2 - D 4 Dance. The very first episode on-air was on 5 December 2014 and its final episode was telecasted on 13 September 2015 declaring Pranav Sasidharan as the winner of the season winning 5 Million Indian Rupees followed by Fida Ashraf (2nd place), Saniya Iyappan (3rd place), Suhaid Kukku (4th place), and Arjun Krishna (5th place). The show was hosted by Govind Padmasoorya and Pearle Maaney . Chemistry between Govind Padmasoorya and Pearle Maaney made the show more entertaining. They introduced different kinds of hosting styles to the Indian television. Their chemistry was one of the biggest reason for the high trp rating D2 received. Finale of D2 broke all the rating records of Malayalam television shows from 2014 to 2013. This was the first time a non Asianet show broke the rating records among Malayalam channels. In 2016, 18th Asianet film Award broke the record of D2 Grand finale after one year with various point difference . It was the best season among all D4 dance seasons.

    Introduction

    Rithvik Dhanjani is a Hindi television and web show actor from India. In 2009, he made his acting debut as Parth in Bandini. Dhanjani gained more prominence after playing Arjun Digvijay Kirloskar in Pavitra Rishta. He has received one Indian Telly Award, one Gold Award, and other nominations. Dhanjani's breakthrough came with Pyaar Kii Ye Ek Kahaani, in which he played Jay Khurana. His feature film debut, Jo Hum Chahein (2011), was a flop. In 2013, he became a presenter for Yeh Hai Aashiqui, and his popularity there led to him hosting additional series like India's Next Superstars, Super Dancer, India's Best Dramebaaz, and So You Think You Can Dance. He made his web series debut with I Don't Watch TV (2016) and has since appeared in more successful web series such as XXX (2018) and Cartel (2021).

    Dhanjani has won reality series such as Nach Baliye 6 with his then-partner Asha Negi and I Can Do That in addition to his acting career. Rithvik Dhanjani was born to Sindhi parents in Madhya Pradesh on November 5, 1988. His family afterward relocated to Dubai. He later continued his schooling at City of London College in England. Dhanjani became interested in working in the entertainment industry during his college years. During his collegiate years, he modeled, performed, and hosted. Dhanjani worked in theatre for two and a half years in Dubai before moving to Mumbai to pursue acting full-time. He received his acting training at the Kishore Namit Kapoor Institute in Mumbai and went on to work in the entertainment and television industries. Dhanjani got to notoriety among young adults after presenting Bindass's Yeh Hai Aashiqui.

    Indian TV dance competition

    Dance India Dance (also called by the acronym DID; tagline: Dance Ka Asli ID D.I.D.) is an Indian Hindi-language dance competitionreality television series that airs on Zee TV, created and produced by Essel Vision Productions. It premiered on 30 January 2009. Here the judges are called Masters and Mithun Chakraborty was called Grand Master (until season 6). Season 7 premiered with a different concept. This show is a remake of Bengali show Dance Bangla Dance which premiered on 2007. After 3 successful seasons of Dance Bangla Dance, Zee TV remade this show for all-over Indian participants.

    The show features a format where dancers from a variety of styles enter open auditions held in Indian metropolitan cities to showcase their unique style and talents and, if allowed to move forward, are then put through mega-audition rounds of auditions to test their ability to adapt to different styles. At the end of mega audition, the top 18 dancers are chosen as finalists who move on to compete in the competition's main phase where they will perform solo, duet and group dance numbers in a variety of styles in competition for the votes of the broadcast viewing audience which, combined with the input of a panel of judges, determine which dancers will advance to the next stage from week to week.

    The show features a variety of Indian cultural and international dance styles ranging across a broad spectrum of classical, Contemporary, Bollywood, Hip-hop, Jazz, Kalaripayattu, Salsa, and Musical theatre styles, among others, with many sub-genres within these categories represented. Competitors attempt to master these styles in an attempt to survive successive weeks of elimination and win a cash prize and often other awards, as well as the title of India's Best Dancer - CJ.
